A Tribute to Araw ng Kagitingan
Why do we commemorate this day? We remember Araw ng Kagitingan, or the Day of Valor, because it honors the bravery and sacrifices of Filipino soldiers during World War II. This day reminds us of the courage of those who fought for freedom and defended our country against invaders.
On this Day of Valor, let us remember the struggles those soldiers have faced. Many of them had to deal with unimaginable hardships, such as hard living conditions and intense fighting. For the benefit of their nation and future generations, some people made the ultimate sacrifice by giving their lives.
